    THE CLIENT

This project was part of a broader initiative from a global automotive industry leader, committed to workforce development, innovation, social responsibility, and empowering the next generation.

The company partnered with Colegiul Tehnic “Mihail Sturdza” to create a dual learning system focused on building future-ready skills for careers in technology and manufacturing.

    THE CHALLENGE

To prepare students for the evolving demands of the workforce, the industry partner aimed to bridge the gap between education and industry and upgrade educational facilities with tools beyond traditional instruction. The goals were to:

    • Increase access to practical, industry-standard technologies
    • Equip students with hands-on experience in robotics and automation
    • Boost student engagement through interactive, hands-on learning
    • Address early skills gaps and support employability from school age
    • Prevent school dropout and increase access to technical education
    • Empower future professionals to navigate Industry 4.0

To achieve this effectively, PHINIA required smart, scalable technology that students could actively interact with.

    THE SOLUTION

Robot Industries delivered and deployed two JAKA Mini collaborative robots, designed for educational and light-industrial use, as part of a fully equipped “smart lab” robotics classroom. This investment supported applied learning, career readiness, and community empowerment.

    Why JAKA MiniCobo?

    • ●      Lightweight and easy to program, perfect for beginner learners
    • Safe to operate alongside humans, perfect for classroom environments
    • Compact and portable for flexible classroom use
    • ●      Industrial-grade performance for real-world skill development

    THE RESULTS

The initiative successfully connected students with industry, giving them practical experience in technology and innovation:

    • ●      Hands-on learning became a daily reality. Students now work directly with cutting-edge robotics, gaining practical experience in coding, automation, and real-world technology.
    • Skill development: Access to interactive tools helped students build technical and soft skills such as adaptability, precision, problem-solving, and collaboration
    • Inclusivity: The smart lab welcomed all students, including those from vulnerable backgrounds, reducing social exclusion and promoting equal learning opportunities
    • Increased motivation: A more dynamic, practical education model encouraged students to stay in school and pursue technical careers
    • Planting ambition: The initiative showed students that their place is not just in school, but in the future of industry

Through the implementation of JAKA MiniCobo robots by Robot Industries, our client, ALIANT Business Solutions, helped PHINIA build a pathway for students to enter the world of smart manufacturing, robotics, and automation.
