Our client is a Romanian company specializing in the import, sale, and servicing of medical devices for both human and veterinary use. With a commitment to providing high-quality healthcare solutions, the company participated in a tender to supply medical equipment to Ludus Town Hospital. One of the hospital’s critical challenges was the manual disinfection of interior spaces across its eight departments and five locations.

INITIAL SITUATION

Before the intervention, Ludus Town Hospital relied on manual methods for disinfecting interior spaces within its various departments and pavilions. This manual process was time-consuming, labor-intensive, and posed risks in terms of thoroughness and effectiveness of disinfection.

SOLUTION IMPLEMENTED

To address the hospital’s disinfection challenges, the client proposed the integration of 15 autonomous and automated disinfection devices, commonly known as robots. These robots were equipped with advanced UV-C and disinfectant spray technology, offering 360-degree coverage for thorough disinfection of interior spaces. Additionally, the robots were programmed to autonomously enter hospital rooms and pavilions, ensuring comprehensive disinfection of all surfaces.

RESULTS

The implementation of automated disinfection robots brought transformative results for Ludus Town Hospital:

• Significant reduction in disinfection time: Automated robots reduced disinfection time by 25–30% compared to manual methods, freeing up more time for patient care and other critical hospital tasks.
